Tightened after the M11 bolts, in sequence (positions 11-15 per head).

Notes

Single torque pass; tightened after the M11 sequence. Five M8 x 1.25 x 45 mm perimeter ('pinch') bolts per head, included in the GM head-bolt sets (PN 17800568 for 2004+, 12498545 for pre-2004) and documented at 45 mm in Mavrigian's 'Building the Chevy LS Engine'. Length corrected 46 -> 45 mm on 2026-06-04 (a Summit reference, SR-05187, had listed 46 mm). GM SI publishes no bolt length.
